10 Weeks and an Update on Chance

Yesterday I had an ultrasound and got to see our precious little unborn baby. It's so amazing what technology enables us to do. I was in aww as I watched my little baby wave. It was the most precious thing I had ever seen. Yesterday the heart rate was 170 BPM, at my last Ultrasound, at 8 weeks, the heart rate was 171 BPM. If the old wives tale is correct, it may just be a little girl. But we'll find out soon enough on December 29th while Chance is home on Christmas leave.

This was the first Ultrasound on a machine that is as old as I am. As you can tell by the next one, technology has come a long way. In this first one, the baby is 8 wks and 1 day.

This is the second Ultrasound at 10 wks. Everything looks great! I will never forget it's little hand waving!!

As of now, the Expected Due Date is June 22, 2011. We shall see if it stays the same throughout the pregnancy

22 Days Until Chance is home!!!!!

Chance is doing well. I got to talk to him for about two and a half hours today. He is through the difficult parts. I don't think he is as home sick now and the other men and women in his Platoon are starting to get along better now that they aren't being mass punished for each others' mistakes. He spent two days over the weekend sick. He had a high fever and a touch of strep, he was also dehydrated. I really don't like hearing that stuff, but it explains why I hadn't received any mail from him in almost a week. I'm glad that he is doing well and having such a positive outlook! I am so proud of you, Chance!!!

Update!!

Chance has been in Basic Training for a few weeks now. I am very proud of him for doing this. It's hard not being able to see him all the time, but oddly enough, it is bringing us much closer. "Absence makes the heart grow fonder" couldn't be more true for the both of us. I've received about 6 letters from his thus far. He is doing great, just a little homesick, but nothing to be too discouraged by, I hope! I got a phone call from him two days ago, it was definitely the SHORTEST 9 minutes of my life. It felt like 10  seconds. There was so much to talk about, and not near enough time to say it all.

43 days until he is home for Christmas. He'll be home for about two weeks! I am so excited!!
